Books

Not everyone likes to read their books on a website. I know that. With that in mind, I’ve made mine available in other formats. As each book is finished, it will be provided as a download in PDF and Word formats on this page. Keep in mind that, while I do try to make sure that each book is self-contained, this is an ongoing series; if you haven’t read the previous books, you can expect there to be things you don’t understand.

Interlude chapters, which fall between books in the timeline and focus on other characters, can be found here.

I’m currently reading book 2 in this series(Season-Change) and am totally enthralled with this storyline. The author has been very thorough with the character descriptions and introductions. At this point I am enamoured with the character “Aiko” and her quirkiness. Having been an fan of sci-first / fantasy books for over forty years I must say that I find these books to be not only intriguing and informative, but very refreshing! I’m looking forward to reading the remaining books in this series and any future works by this author.

Mr. Mosby, I am so glad to see another who appreciates this author. Intrigue runs high in all of the books and it only gets better. I am on book 9 and I seem to enjoy every new book better than the last one. Good reading to you!

Emrys, as you are aware I am currently in book 3 “Wolf’s Moon” and I am totally enamored with the character “Winter” and the way he views the world’s that seem to encompass every facet of his life… His cavalier attitude in which he goes about everything, almost makes you want beings to have a go at him, yet the human side of him which show his compassion and vulnerabilities make you root for him. You have done very well with your character’s and storyline… I am so looking forward to what the future holds…

I could not have said it better. You summed it very well.

Definitely his attitude is supposed to seem a little cocksure, especially in the early books. I’m glad that comes across.

Can we get the pdf’s for other volumes please? Want to read on way to work.

    • Emrys

Yes, of course! I’m sorry, I hadn’t realized quite how long it had been since I updated this page. I’ll get files posted for books 7-9 ASAP.

sweet ty. Huge Fan of your story so far (finished up to Book 9).

Some quick questions, how many books left you have planned out? Second does Wolf and Akai every get married/have kids?

        • Emrys

Thanks! I’m glad you’re enjoying it so far.

To answer your questions, I’m currently planning on about 15 books total length. I have the major elements of the story planned out from here all the way to the end of the story, and the story does have an end, it isn’t going to just continue on indefinitely. My approach is more on-the-fly when it comes to planning chapters, and even individual books, so the total length is subject to change based on what I think will make the story the best it can be.

I’m not going to answer your other question right now, because I don’t generally like telling people what will or won’t happen in future books. Spoilers don’t make stories more enjoyable in my experience, no matter who’s delivering them.

          • Shuiko

Ah cool so 5 more books to go.

Also yea I understand the no spoilers for most people, though for me sometimes I like to know if a story with have a happy ending, cause i don’t like getting invested in character then seeing balls ending (it happens a lot in some Easter Stories mainly Japanese LN’s and such. Though Chinese Works have these epic endings, or sad depressing ones =/ )

Ty again hope for more. Never know maybe you add more arcs that you randomly think about.

          • Emrys

I’m not ruling out the possibility that it will run longer than that. I probably won’t be mucking around with the broad outline for the rest of the story, but like I said, I tend to improvise a great deal more with the small stuff. I will probably add quite a few minor story arcs and such between now and the end of the story. I’m also planning on doing more with this setting after this series reaches its conclusion, although I might do something else in between.

As to the ending…well, I suspect you can already guess from the rest of the story that a happily-ever-after kind of ending isn’t in the cards. That’s just not my style. I can at least say that any tragic elements won’t be a deus ex machina approach. It might not be a spectacularly happy ending, but I hope it will at least be a satisfying one.

Obviously Shuiko and Emrys, I am not as well versed on some of the terms used here. What are Japanese LN’s ? Also, in this context, what do you mean by arc’s ? I was able to think of many possible meanings but doubt any are correct. I am an avid fan and wish to understand if you have the time to enlighten me. Thanks…

    • Emrys

Unless I am mistaken, Shuiko is using LN to refer to light novels, a type of short, young-adult novel which is very popular in Japan. A story arc is a term used to describe a storyline which takes place within a larger story, especially one which spans multiple installments of a serialized work. So, for example, the interactions between Winter and the pack in Colorado Springs would be a story arc that started at the very beginning of the story and then defined a lot of the plot for several books.
